Gospel Outreach Adventures in Missions

As we seek to win others to Christ, bearing the burden of souls in our prayers, our own hearts will throb with the quickening influence of God's grace.

New mission website for kids launched

Now young people can play an important role in sharing the Good News of Jesus' love with people in the 10/40 Window.

COLLEGE PLACE, Wash.--Gospel Outreach is pleased to announce the launch of a new mission Web site, www.missionadventures4christ.org.

Premiering in time for the August 11–15 "Courage to Stand" international camporee for Pathfinders, the site:

1. Gives young people a place to learn and get excited about missions.
2. Provides opportunities to become involved in and committed to missions.

The site is divided into sections for 10- to 13-year-olds, 14- to 18-year-olds, parents, teachers and pastors. As "Mission Adventures 4 Christ" continues to develop, visitors will be able to learn about real missionaries, read stories, explore interactive maps, discover information about other countries, play games, share ideas, and get involved with mission trips and fund-raising activities.

Gospel Outreach would like to express special thanks to Annette Melgosa (project director), Scott Barnett, Warren Rood, Wade Brooks and Kevin Ames for their countless hours of volunteer work moving this site from concept to reality. Thank you to Patrick Mandigo for his technical expertise and web work. Also, thank you to Mark Etchell for getting the project underway.

"As you explore the new website, feel free to give us suggestions, thoughts and point out errors or problems," Melgosa says. "As with any newborn, the site must now grow and develop, and we are anxious to make it better." Writers are needed to accomplish this, Melgosa says. Contact us if you are interested.

Please pray that this new endeavor will develop into a powerful tool for sharing God's love.

GO Team Oshkosh

A group of teenagers from College Place, Wash., has headed to the Pathfinder camporee to spread the word about Gospel Outreach.

Team heads to Pathfinder camporee in Oshkosh

OSHKOSH, Wisc.--"Oshkosh, here we come!" Eight teens, a chaperone and a mascot are off to tell Pathfinders and their church families about the tremendous success Gospel Outreach has had in supporting national evangelists in the 10/40 Window.

In the photo to the right, you will notice the teens made up a new logo--a stop sign with GO on it. Why? Because it makes you ask questions. That's the point in attracting attention and sharing that God's command to GO into all the world is what we help local evangelists do.

Our Oshkosh team has worked hard to put together a DVD that tells all about Gospel Outreach. It's only 20 minutes long, and we added some cool stories as well as a basic overview. Rejean, one of the Oshkosh team members, and her sister Dacia even wrote a Gospel Outreach song--listen to it on MySpace. See if it inspires you the way it inspired us.

We also have a welcome packet you can request by filling out the form below. The packet includes brochures, the DVD, fundraising ideas, a kids' easy-read poster and project selection guide. One Sabbath School leader also developed a detailed way to use the packet in a Sabbath School class, and we can add that as well. Please share any ideas you come up with to interest kids and adults alike in this supportive ministry.
